This blog is a journal of an amateur theatre company in the south of England staging Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials.

Although first night is a little less than a year away, if you know the books of the stage adaptation, you will understand what a vast undertaking this is.

We thought it might be of interest to provide you with an insight into just how one approaches this kind of project, and also to find out just how quickly the participants go insane.
